PDG Announces Addition of Mohs Surgery

Peraza Dermatology Group is pleased to announce an expansion of its dermatology services to include Mohs surgery and the addition of Dr. Matthew Zipoli to the PDG team of providers.

Mohs surgery (or Mohs micrographic surgery) is an advanced approach to skin cancer treatment which enables the surgeon to remove skin cancer cells while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. Designed to be performed in medical clinic settings without admission to a hospital, Mohs is a safe and highly effective form of treatment for patients with some common types of cancer like basal cell carcinoma (BCC) or squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and is occasionally recommended for some rare skin cancers or early melanoma.

In addition to expanding services, Peraza Dermatology Group is pleased to be adding Mohs micrographic surgeon Dr. Matthew Zipoli to the PDG team of providers.

Remarks from Dr. José Peraza and Dr. Daniel Peraza: “We are pleased to welcome Dr. Matthew Zipoli, a board-certified Mohs surgeon, to our Lebanon office. As Peraza Dermatology continues to grow, we look forward to adding advanced services such as Mohs in order to provide the highest quality of dermatological care for our patients.”

Dr. Zipoli obtained his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and his M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine. After an internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA, he completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Minnesota where he served as the program’s Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Zipoli completed a fellowship in Dermatologic and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He has performed Mohs surgery for over 18 years and has completed over 20,000 cases of Mohs surgery during that time. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology (2003) and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He has been named to Boston’s Best Doctors list each year from 2014 to present.

Mohs appointments will be available starting May 19, 2023. Find more information on the surgery on the General Dermatology page or book your appointment online today.
